On 2 December 2025, EXCEL4MED participated in a Networking Event organised by the REENFORCE project, which brought together other EU-funded projects for an interactive online session centred on innovation, sustainability and collaboration in agriculture.

The event created a space for participants to exchange knowledge, explore collaboration pathways and strengthen connections across Europe’s agri-tech and bioeconomy ecosystem.

Representing EXCEL4MED, our partner Laura Fortea from Smart Agro Hub presented an overview of the project, highlighting its key achievements to date, including the development of innovative food products.

Laura also emphasised our project’s mission to strengthen Mediterranean fruit supply chains, creating resilient, high-value solutions with a focus on pomegranates and citrus fruits.

Building bridges for a sustainable future

The networking format of the REENFORCE event promoted lively discussions and knowledge exchange, allowing projects to identify synergies and collaborative opportunities. These interactions highlighted the importance of working together to drive innovation and sustainability in Europe’s agricultural sector.

Through participation in such events, EXCEL4MED continues to connect with other initiatives, exploring ways to maximise impact and contribute to a more sustainable, resilient and innovative agri-food ecosystem in the Mediterranean and beyond.
