Our Greek partner, Smart Agro Hub, presented the EXCEL4MED project at “The Green Shift” webinar, held on 12 December 2024.
Organised by Smart Agro Hub, Europe Direct Attica and Europe Direct Central Macedonia, the webinar showcased research projects contributing to the EU’s green transition goals.
Exploring the Green Shift
“The Green Shift” focused on the critical role of technology and innovation in transforming Europe’s agricultural and food sectors. Attendees gained insight into how advanced solutions, like those developed through the EXCEL4MED project, are driving the EU’s green agenda forward.
Thus, the webinar allowed participants to learn more about the essential skill sets needed for a successful green transition, alongside the innovative technologies shaping the future of agriculture and food systems.
EXCEL4MED’s presentation underscored the importance of collaboration among researchers, industry, policymakers and consumers to achieve sustainable outcomes.
EXCEL4MED aligns with the EU’s goals for a circular economy by emphasising resource efficiency, reducing waste and promoting the reuse of materials within Mediterranean agricultural practices.
Our project’s emphasis on adaptability and resilience helps ensure long-term sustainability for all stakeholders, including farmers, processors and consumers.
