EXCEL4MED participated in Beyond Expo 2023, held in Thessaloniki (Greece) from 24-26 May 2023.

The exhibition gathered experts, researchers and industry leaders, and placed a strong focus on agrifood and smart farming, with dedicated events and discussions organised as part of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Food’s Open Day Greece.

EXCEL4MED at the “Unlocking Horizon Europe” seminar

As part of the event’s agenda, Smart Agro Hub presented the EXCEL4MED project during the “Unlocking Horizon Europe” seminar. Smart Agro Hub introduced EXCEL4MED’s objectives and innovative strategies for improving sustainability, digital transformation and waste valorisation in Mediterranean food supply chains.

Beyond the seminar, Smart Agro Hub representatives actively engaged with attendees at the EXCEL4MED booth, providing valuable insights into the project’s contributions to sustainable agri-food practices.

The event facilitated networking opportunities with key stakeholders, further strengthening collaborations between researchers, industry representatives and policymakers.

Participation in Beyond Expo 2023 reinforced EXCEL4MED’s commitment to driving innovation in food systems through cross-sector collaboration and knowledge exchange.
