On 11 February, EXCEL4MED visited St Benedict’s College Kirkop Primary School in Malta, engaging 4th, 5th and 6th grade students in an interactive learning experience focused on green technologies and food waste valorisation.

A key highlight of the visit was a hands-on demonstration led by our partners Johan Zammit (Malta Enterprise) and Dorian Galea (Mgarr Farming).

Students explored how orange peels can be transformed into Vitamin C and other useful products, illustrating how agricultural by-products can be reimagined instead of discarded.
